On 25 September 2026, the YMCA for Northern Development Foundation welcomed a study visit delegation under the Alternative Education for Sustainability activity to exchange knowledge and explore approaches to integrating environmental and climate change education into schools and communities. The delegation visited the Energy and Environmental Conservation Learning Center (YMCA Soa Hin) to learn about the Foundation’s environmental and climate change education initiatives and explore the center’s exhibitions on energy conservation and environmental protection.

The delegation then visited San Pa Tong Wittayakom School to learn about its low-carbon school initiatives, Green Classroom, waste management activities, and Bio-Way project. The visit continued at Wiang Tha Kan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, where participants exchanged experiences on collaboration to promote and develop a low-carbon community. They also visited model households demonstrating energy conservation, food processing for income generation, waste reduction, and household health and well-being.

The activity highlighted the importance of collaboration among schools, communities, and partners in promoting experiential and practical learning. It also demonstrated how environmental knowledge can be applied in daily life, contributing to greater environmental awareness, climate action, and sustainable community development.
